I thought i have lost these lovely pictures, and out of nowhere, it appears in my dad’s notebook. Glad i found it or else it would be another lost memory with my great Bro Stalin and his friend, Tony. Stalin promised Tony that he would showed him the wonder of Sarawak, beyond our shopping mall and Ruai Apai pubs :) .

Tony is from KL and have ever worked in the United States for freaking 10 years. He is a fun guy to be with. I agree to tag along since i wanted to try out my company’s GPS gadget. Gotta force myself to learn and keep my job until i finally paid my loans… hahha..

Ok.. we walked through the thick rain forest, passed by small streams and finally reach our destination.

oh yes, two of my close cousins followed. Terrence ( AgroTouri’s own traditional dancer ) and Paul (tour guide). Terrance wanted to look for river snail for tonight’s dinner.

Lo and behold, ” Saquacth or Big Foot” taking bath at God’s water wonder. :)

After dipping and bathing for 2 hours… yes, 2 straight hours, our toe begins to feel numb. Its time to look for snail. River snail can be easily found on river rock or where the water is a bit murky.

River snail are one of Dayak local delicacy. Cooked either soup or with “tempoyak” (fermented Durian). Its a protein source, just like fish. These are fresh rock water river snail. The taste kind of different compare to muddy snail. When cook properly, its texture are just like chewing gum. Yummy!

Time to go home. A refreshing weekend getaway from bustling city and shopping mall.

Cheers
